The mechanism to connect a shaft stabilizer section (1,2) to a sleeve (3), the end of the sleeve has an axial extension between them in a press fit around the out-of-round ends of the stabilizer shaft sections (1,2). The out-of-round ends carry teeth or grooved splines (4,5) around them, to be pushed into the end openings of the sleeve inner dia. (8). The sleeve (3) is given a malleable distortion by the pressure of the press fit, to mold around the teeth or splines (4,5) so that they are keyed together in a positive fit.
