The license number consists of a preferably perforated baseplate(1) and a preferably raised frame(2) in which the license number is inlaid or slid into place. As fasteners, and so as not to cover the bordering edge, threaded screws or pins(3) are fitted in the raised frame sections. There are three frame sections rigidly connected to the perforated plate, and one frame section at the top, side or bottom which can be removed by releasing screws or other conventional snap-on fasteners to allow the license number to be introduced.
