A single rail overhead track has an articulated connection for the abutments of profile running rails, which have an upper flange (2) and a lower flange (3) forming a running surface. At adjacent abutments formed by abutment rails (1a,1b), bearing cheeks (6a,6b) bridge over the abutment are a with intermediately located holding intermediate pieces (9). For connection of the bearing cheeks with the holding intermediate piece, a locking bolt (19) penetrates holes in the bearing cheeks and intermediate pieces.
