The joint has a press fitting element (1) with an annular bead-shaped seal fitting region (3) and a cylindrical region with a stop transition to a narrower cylindrical region and a thin-walled pipe line (2) for insertion into the press fitting element. A pressure tool with jaws (8) is applied to the exterior of the press fitting element to make a non-reversible sealed connection. The axial distance from a sealing ring (7) of a contact pin (11) in the cylindrical region (4) connected to the annular bead-shaped region (3), that interacts with the inserted pipe line (2), corresp. to the correct pipe line insertion depth.
