The unit has a sheet metal cover plate with an underside cylinder, a storage container and a hydro-storage. The plate is positioned at right angles to the traffic direction The pump unit has a sheet metal cover (2) at its top side for travelling over the pump. The cover (2) is positioned at right angles to the traffic route. A cylinder (3) with a storage container (4) and a hydro-storage is arranged at the underside of the sheet metal cover (2). The pump unit is operated by the downwards movement, produced by the weight of a vehicle transmitted by the wheel (1) whilst travelling over the pump unit. The volume in the cylinder chamber is pressed by the non-return valve (6) across the line in the hydro-storage (7). When a vehicle travels over the sheet metal cover (2), the pressure is discharged, to simultaneously press a spring. The cover (2) and the piston (3.1) are fixed at the metal sheet cover (2).
