摘要
To produce medium density fiberboard (MDF) materials, wood fibers are produced from wood particles by steam under pressure and heat, followed by a refiner and grinder using thermo mechanical pulping (TMP) or chemo thermo mechanical pulping (CTMP). The fibers are dried, treated with a bonding agent, and scattered into a matting to be pressed into board. In the production of MDF, before treatment with an adhesive bonding agent, the fibers are heated to temperatures of at least 120 deg C during drying. During drying, the fibers are heated at 150 deg C for five mins., or 170 deg C for 10 mins.
