In a heald frame, the connection between the heald frame rod (1) and the side support (2) is a projection (6) at the side support which engages a hollow zone (5) at the heald frame rod. The heald frame rod (1) can slide parallel to the longitudinal axis of the side support (2), opposite the projection (6) which fits into the hollow zone (5), and be locked in the required setting. The sliding movement of the heald frame rod (1) is applied by at least one pull/push screw (8) against the return force of at least one spring (7). The side support (2) has a fixed coupling plug (4), working with an intermediate unit (9) in the hollow zone (5) of the heald frame rod (1), which can slide parallel to the longitudinal axis of the side support (2) and be locked in place. The intermediate unit (9) has a recess (10), parallel to the side support (2), to hold a nut (11) with an inner thread, supported at the walls which define the hollow zone (5), to take the pull/push screw (8) at the intermediate unit (9).
