Mobile gas concentration measurement and mapping unit uses satellite locational system and telemetric data transmission

Measurement of gas concentrations, particularly harmful substances, uses a sensor head in conjunction with a satellite global location system (GPS). The sensor makes concentration measurements at timed intervals and records position coordinates. A control unit compares each concentration measurement with the previous determination, and if a predetermined threshold value is exceeded , the concentration and the measurement location coordinates are stored in a memory.
