The gear wheel pair consists of two uniformly toothed cylindrical transmission gears with evolvent teeth. At least one of the cylindrical gears has a combination of head shape circles which deviates from the cylindrical form. The bearing width of an engaging tooth (3) varies steadily from an initial value at the beginning of the engagement to the full tooth width. The teeth have a profile overlapping in at least two section planes.
