The method involves winding individual conductors to form oval coils (1), winding the oval coils with an internal discharge protective impregnated tape, spreading the coils into the final shape and applying insulation and outer discharge protection by thermal moulding or injection moulding. An Independent claim is also included for manufacturing and installation method for roebel rods.
