An optical signal transmission multicore plastic optical fiber which is composed of a plurality of core fibers made of transparent core resin, 1st resin sheaths which surround the respective core fibers and are made of resin which has a lower refractive index than the core fiber resin and 2nd resin sheaths which surround the 1st resin sheaths and are made of resin which has a lower refractive index than the 1st sheath resin. This multicore plastic optical fiber is suitable for the optical signal transmission because its receiving light quantity is large and its light loss caused by bending is small.
