In the cartridge ammunition, for hunting, the bullet has a mantle of a lead-free soft and tough metal such as of copper or red brass or brass, and a pointed core of a harder material. The rear end of the bullet core (1) has a shoulder (4) of a larger dia., to support the trailing end of the mantle (5). The leading end of the mantle (5) has a reducing wall thickness, towards the point of the bullet, to extend over the point. The mantle and core are bonded together in a press fit or by soldering, so that they can neither separate nor rotate in relation to each other.
