The travel situation parameter detection and display method uses correlation of the parameter signals provided by a number of sensors, e.g. via a fuzzy comparison logic (1,2), to provide a single travel situation value used for controlling a display (3) positioned within the automobile. An Independent claim for a travel situation parameter detection and display device is also included.
