Simultaneous blowing of two containers is effected by conveying two preforms on a carrier (19) moving along a closed circuit through a heater unit (2) to a blowing unit comprising blowing stations on a rotating blowing wheel. During transport a constant space is maintained between preform holders (36,37) mounted on each carrier. An Independent claim is made for container blow molding plant which has carriers (19) which hold both preforms and blown containers. Each carrier holds two items and moves along a closed path through the heater (2). The blowing unit includes a transfer mechanism.
