Motor reflex detecting and documenting apparatus has reflex hammer with sensor for measuring force or acceleration, and electrodes placed on skin for detecting action currents
Several electrodes are placed on the skin for detecting action currents of muscle fibres or muscles, and connected to a computer. A reflex hammer is used to hit the skin over a selected muscle or sinew to cause contraction. A force or acceleration sensor is mounted in the reflex hammer and produces electrical signals in response to the deceleration of the hammer. The sensor is also coupled to the computer.
