Forming cavities for e.g. manhole covers in road surface, using two interlocking height adjustable hollow cylinders for supporting temporary cover during road surface laying

The outer hollow cylinder (2) is height adjustable relative to the inner hollow cylinder (3) thanks to the ability to fix the supports (9) on the inside of the outer cylinder into identical depth notches (11-13) at different heights in the inner cylinder. Cavities are formed using a device comprising a cover (1), an outer hollow cylinder with supports on the inside, and an inner hollow cylinder with notches in its walls. An Independent claim is also included for a method for forming manhole cover cavities using this device, where the cover is held in place by the cylinder arrangement during laying of the road surface, and then later removed along with the two cylinders.
