The automatic de-misting method uses a humidity sensor for measuring the relative humidity, for supplying a corresponding humidity signal to a control device for a windscreen ventilation device. The control device receives a second signal representing the level of the incident solar radiation, for calculating the corresponding warming of the humidity sensor, for corresponding correction of the humidity signal.
