A compressed particulate detergent washing composition containing a builder, bleach, etc is such that paraffin is added to any regions containing a dye which is unstable in presence of the bleach. An Independent claim is also included for a multi-phase composition in which the bleach and the sensitive dye are in separate phases, with the dye-containing phase also containing paraffin.
