The machine includes bearings (9,10) with a spacing from each other being the same or smaller than half of the process path of the sleeve (2). An optimal gap results from a touching action of touching tip (4) on a measurement object (5) in variable gap of a guide bearing (9). It takes into consideration the rigidity of the guide bearings (9,10), due to the deformation of the touching tip (4) due to a minimal contact force caused by the measurement object (5) to provide optimal the measuring accuracy.
