The method for producing a sandwich plate consisting at least of two layers (1, 2) which are partially joined to one another is characterized by the fact that at least the layer (2) is heated and thermally formed by means of a fluid so that a hollow space formed between the two plates substantially retains its shape after cooling. Also claimed is a resultant sandwich plate. It comprises a layer which thermally formable so that a hollow space is produced between two partially joined layers.
