Transmission ratio regulation for continuous automatic gearbox involves correction element taking account of internal and external system parameters in physical mathematical model

The method involves limiting the control parameter produced by a PID regulator to limiting values for up and down changes dependent on the type of gearbox. A correction element is used that takes account of internal and external system parameters using a physical mathematical model, whose basic equation is given, to correct model errors and a further relationship to specify the transmission ratio gradient.
