Cleaning and conditioning device for use in continuous, on-line analysis of moisture and dust bearing gaseous streams

The gas sampling device for a ducted gas flow (10) has a sampling tube (7) feeding into a loop (1) which is continuously circulated by a pump (11). The sample collection may be assisted by a second pump (13). The fresh sample gas mixes with the circulating gas which has absorbed heat from the pump (11), causing any aerosol moisture to evaporate; the circulation velocity prevents deposition of dust in the recirculation duct. A relatively small part of the conditioned stream is then fed to the analyzers.
