The electromagnetic valve has a spring-loaded armature for operation of the valve rod, with a control circuit supplying the valve with a damping current, for damping the impact between the armature and the end stop against which it is biased by the return spring. The control circuit has 3 current paths for 3 separate current phases, each containing a difference amplifier (I1,I2,I3) and a current phase element (f1,f2,f3), with combining of the outputs of the latter via logic gates (N1-N4).
