Drive disk for the carrier belt to remove dirt/debris from a textile machine has a peripheral groove to take a friction cladding as teeth with a toothed belt to prevent belt slippage
The drive mechanism for a continuous carrier belt, especially for the removal of dirt from a textile machine, has a drive disk (22) with a groove (42) round its circumference to hold a friction cladding (50). The peripheral surfaces (46) of the drive disk (22), flanking the groove (42), are in contact with the carrier belt (12) and are pitched at an angle ( alpha ) forming a cone surface to the rotary axis (26) of the drive disk (22). The friction cladding (50) is a toothed belt, meshing with the peripheral teeth (32) at the groove (42) round the circumference of the drive disk (22). The disk teeth (32) are at a disk (28), keyed to the drive shaft (20) which, at the same time, carries the pot disks (36,38) forming the peripheral surfaces (46). The pot disks (36,38) are in a release fitting at the disk (28). The edge surfaces (46), at the disk (22) circumference, drop to the edge sides at an angle ( alpha ) of 1-10 deg and especially 5 deg . The drive disk (22) has a multi-part structure, with the division between them through the peripheral groove (42).
