A work piece is esp. pre-cast from aluminum alloy, subjected to solution heat treatment, and pressure-rolled. The rolling is a hot rolling process, at a temperature between 530 deg C, being the heat treatment temperature, and a lower temperature limit of 250 deg C. After solution heat treatment and/or after rolling, the work piece is cooled to a quench temperature, esp. approx. room temperature, or alternatively is subjected to an aging process, esp. at a temperature of approx. 180 deg C. The aluminum alloy is one of group comprising GK-AlSi7Mg, GK-AlSi11Mg, or GK-AlSi12Mg.
