The system to extract condensation from a steam-heated roller has an elbow joint (2) at the horizontal condensation tube (1), with a moving section (2b) at the condensation tube connection (3) which, when fitted, extends into the deepest point of the steam zone. The moving elbow joint section (2b) has a condensation passage (2c) through it, with an inner threading, to be screwed into the horizontal condensation tube (1) and be fixed at a given angle. A guide bush (6) with a bearing (7) gives radial support to the horizontal condensation tube (1) and the connected elbow joint (2). The screw fitting is sealed against the steam zone, to prevent condensation flowing back into the steam zone between the horizontal condensation tube (1) and the moving section (2b) of the elbow joint (2). A mounting bush (9) is fitted to the horizontal condensation tube (1), and the screw bond between the tube (1) and the moving section (2b) of the elbow joint (2) is keyed against rotation. Two nuts, locked against each other, are within the steam zone cover and screwed on to the horizontal condensation tube (1). A further pair of locked nuts are screwed on the horizontal condensation tube (1) to fix it outside the steam zone cover. An indicator is at one end side, in front of the steam zone cover in a keyed mounting on the horizontal condensation tube (1), to display the radial setting of the angled condensation tube connector (3) in the steam zone of the roller.
