The nail has a solid first (4) and a tubular second (8) nail part, which is telescopically arranged inside a channel in the first part, to adjust the length of the nail. A peg, or pegs, can be used to secure the two parts together at the desired length, and prevents them from rotating. The end of the first nail part furthest from the second nail part has a point (10). The end of the second nail part furthest from the first nail part is bevelled.
