A metal ventilation grille has relatively wide ventilation slits (9) between adjacent upright bent ribs. A metallic ventilation grille consists of an extruded C-profile (1) with ventilation holes (9) and with uniformly spaced, parallel, bent ribs extending perpendicularly from the outer wide face of the profile. Each rib has a bending groove above its base and the width (B) of each ventilation hole (9), located centrally between two adjacent ribs, is only 2-5 mm smaller than the spacing between the rib bases. An Independent claim is also included for production of the above grille.
