摘要
A mathematical equation is derived from an equation of H. Seifert for calculation of the heart beat volume: (T1/Ts - tau 1/ tau 0)/T1/Ts = DELTA f = =s where if the amount DELTA f is not less than or equal to the percentage error =s then the calculation is repeated for the following cycle. The percentage error is in the range 10 - 20 percent. Here T1 is the duration of a period of a DELTA Z or impedance curve in seconds, Ts is the time within a period until the aortic valve shuts, tau 0 is the rising time constant during which blood flows into the aortic section and tau 1 is the falling time constant during which blood flows out of the aortic section.
