A restrictor orifice(26) is located in the first channel(22) of the valve upstream of the pilot valve(24). The pilot valve has at least two valve components, the first(28) of which shuts off a small diameter valve seat(44) and the second(32) shutting off a larger diameter valve seat(50). The longitudinal slide(14) via a pusher(18) first opens the pilot valve via the first valve component to unload the second valve component. The second valve component opens a second channel(36) through which pressure medium from the channel(12) of the directional valve acts in the opening directin upon a face of the second valve component.
