Making a molecular array on which molecules are immobilized, using micro-compartments or microcapillary reactors on planar substrates with sensor elements employing microelectronic production techniques, is new. The molecular arrays are produced with planar surfaces. An Independent claim is also included for the molecular array obtained using the method.
