An alloying additive moulding, comprising silicon carbide granules and a binder containing molasses and optionally calcium hydroxide, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) a binder containing molasses and optionally calcium hydroxide for producing the above alloying additive moulding; and (ii) a process for producing the above alloying additive moulding.
