Hydraulic car braking installation with wheel slip control has maximum vacuum brake force amplification limited to mean value of wheel brake pressure representative of wheel slip-free normal braking
A hydraulic car braking installation with wheel slip control has a brake pressure transmitter consisting of a vacuum brake booster and a master brake cylinder. The installation is connected via a brake line to at least a pair of wheel brakes. There is a pump connected to the brake line to supply pressurized medium of the brake pressure transmitter in the direction of the wheel brakes during the slip control plus at least one pressure modulation valve inserted into the brake line downstream for varying the brake pressure in the wheel brakes during the slip control. The vacuum brake booster in wheel slip-free normal braking operation increases the effect of the pedal force onto the master cylinder. The maximum vacuum brake force amplification is limited to a mean value of the wheel brake pressure representative of the wheel slip-free normal braking. Upon exceeding the representative mean value, additionally to the vacuum brake force amplification, a hydraulic amplification of the wheel brake force takes place by the setting into operation of the pump, which is adjusted to a pedal force-proportional pressure.
