The method involves using conventional measurement plates for detecting harmful material placed directly on the road, whereby differentiated detection of different types of vehicle is conducted under defined road conditions. The traffic flow data are directly passed via a communications channel to a PC into a defined database and hence the noise level is computed including the sound propagation.
