A number of individual digitally controlled drives (14,22,24) acting in the roll-off plane enable a translation movement of the holder to be produced in two different directions in the roll-off plane and a rotational movement in the roll-off plane, from which a movement of the screen about a remote imaginary center of movement (6) can be constructed. The arrangement has a holder for the body to be printed, enabling rotation about its axis of symmetry, a screen holder for generally flat screens containing the print pattern to be applied, a drive arrangement for the screen holder (8) for producing a roll-off movement in a plane onto the object with essentially slip-free contact between the screen (2) and object along a peripheral casing line and paint delivery and rake devices for transferring paint with a rake through the open mesh of the screen onto the object.
