The adjustable vibration damper has a displacement body in a cylinder, where a damping force is set by an adjustable damper valve to control the pressure of an air spring. At least two air springs (91) are linked to the safety unit (95) which acts as a pneumatic switch circuit to give a pressure balance between the air springs (91). The higher control pressure of one air spring (91) is released in the pneumatic switch circuit. The adjustable vibration damper (1), relating to the air springs (91), is linked to the pneumatic switch circuit by at least one pressure output connection (101) to be controlled with the highest control pressure of the connected air springs (91).
