Multi-axial warp knitted fabric has at least two diagonal yarn systems with standing wefts and structured part-wefts on variable alignments to give force lines in all directions
To produce a multi-axial warp knitted fabric, with tensed longitudinal and lateral and diagonal yarns, the diagonal yarns are inserted directly as a weft section at the rear sides of the rising needles at the needle bars. In a rib fabric warp knitter, each needle bar has at least two diagonal yarn systems (7',9';10',12'), laid against each other at the same time as part-wefts. Standing wefts (8',11') aligned on 0 deg are inserted between the diagonal yarn systems (7',9';10',12'). At the same time, yarns (6',13') on 90 deg are inserted as wefts through the fabric for the rows of stitches, which can be part-wefts. Additional yarns (4',5') are on 0 deg , offset at the sides. The diagonal yarns (7',9';10',12') can be omitted for patterning to run on a 0 deg orientation.
