Internal combustion engine control device for alternating between stratified charge and uniform internal combustion operations changes vehicle behavior by reducing engine torque and regulating amounts of injected fuel
An internal combustion engine (1) is able to alternate between stratified charge and uniform internal combustion operations. An engine torque reducer (20) reduces torque to lessen change in vehicle behavior. A yaw rate identifier (18) specifies the difference between a vehicle's actually detected yaw rate and a reference yaw rate based on a vehicle's travelling condition. A difference greater than a preset value triggers a torque reduction requirement.
