The apparatus comprises a drive roll (51), a support roll (52), an elastic endless printing cloth (35), plate cylinders (53a-d) for transfer of ink of different colors onto the printing cloth (35), printing drums (54a-d) below the respective plate cylinders (53a-d), and a further printing drum (55) with a print medium (56) between it and the printing cloth (35) on the support roll (52). The colors transferred onto the printing cloth are printed on the print medium in a single operation.
