The fluid compressor (100) has a housing (101,107,133) with an outer surrounding structure and a cover (111) fixed to it. A movable component (114) forms a work chamber with the cover. The movable component circulates orbitally in relation to the cover in order to enlarge and reduce the work chamber volume. A thrust bearing device (120) supports the movable component, which it allows to circulate orbitally. The thrust bearing device accommodates a thrust force, which is a force component of a compression counterforce acting on the movable component, and comprises a number of cylindrical rollers.
