A transverse link element(1) is formed by extrusion of aluminium alloy in a tubular form and has at least one curved section(1b). A pair of bearing elements(2) made of aluminium alloy are each connected to each of the end sections of the link element. The curved section of the transverse link element is produced by bending the element, after which the bearing elements are joined to it. An intermediate bearing element(4) is connected to an intermediate section of the link element. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture of the proposed transverse link comprising stages to produce a straight link element through extrusion, bending of the element, and connecting bearing elements.
