The air feed device (110) has a closed space for compression of the air, coupled to an air feed line, with a pressure sensor within the closed space coupled to a pressure regulator. The pressure regulator maintains a pressure selected via a pressure setting device controlled by an operator, using a stored regulation characteristics. An Independent claim for an air feed device is also included.
