Paper or media container has a tray (12) with upper surface (18). Two stops (20, 22) are continuously adjustable to support any media size and incorporate position sensors (14, 16) to give a clear electrical plan of the measured positions of the stops (20, 22) relative to the tray (12). Independent claims are made for a device for use with a paper tray for determination of the size of print media in the tray and a procedure for determination of the paper size. The position detection circuit is based on a bridge circuit.
