The system has a secondary air valve (28) consisting of integrated guide and air shut-off valve. It has exhaust pipes (21) connected to exhaust channels (20) at the front of the engine (15). The secondary air valve is positioned approx. centrally on the front of the engine, below the outlet channels, and in a space between exhaust pipes and engine. Secondary air pipes (38) extend from the valve and are connected via heat-resistant hoses (39) to secondary air apertures (40) formed in upper sections of the exhaust channels.
