The burner chamber (8) is defined by a double sleeve (2) which encloses the air stage burner (10) or its ring of gas nozzles (6) with a slight play similar to a flame tube. The double sleeve can be switched hydraulically in series with a lamella heat exchanger (3) mounted in the burner chamber.
