The use of enzyme mixtures (I) having lipolytic, proteolytic and amylolytic activity in the preparation of medicaments for treating diabetes mellitus in humans or other large mammals, is new. An Independent claim is included for the production of pharmaceutical preparations for treating diabetes mellitus.
