A universal joint (1) has a collar (10) one end of which has an inner element (2) and the other end an outer element (3), creating a seal between the two. The collar has a flexible main body (11) and a push-fit piece (12). During assembly the outer element and the push-fit piece are linked from the inner chamber of the collar and ambient air via a groove (12f) in the push-fit piece. The air pressure within the collar is maintained at the same value as that of the ambient air.
