The tachograph has a housing (1) and a slidable and swivelable recording disc carrier. The disc carrier (6) is provided with recesses (24) lying opposite mirror imaged between its front side facia (5) and the guide elements (15, fig.2), and insertable stop elements are provided in the recesses (24). The stop elements are designed in such a manner, that in the position inserted in the disc carrier (6), with the withdrawal of the disc carrier from the housing (1), they work together with the stops arranged at the guide rails (17). The stops arranged at the guide rails (17) are assigned endfaced at the guide rails and are designed with sealing off parts (25) detachably connected with the guide rails (17).
