The microwave radio signal transmission method uses a transmitter and a number of receivers coupled to respective transmission/reception antenna elements at each subscriber (A-D), with auxiliary signals transmitted for maintaining or releasing a radio transmission link between spaced subscribers, the transmitted radio signals only supplied to the antenna elements associated for which a control signal maitaining the transmission link is received. An Independent claim for a device for transmission of microwave radio signals is also provided.
