The process for simulating the working of different types of mine operates on different targets, e.g. anti-tank, anti-personnel or against mine-clearing machinery. Each simulation mine senses with an inbuilt mechanism, either an electrical or optical sensor any targets in its vicinity. Then, depending on the identification of the target the mine is triggered. The sensor of the simulation mine works in a similar manner to the original mine. The triggering of the mine is achieved by use of an evaluating logic which responds to a signal emitted by the target which may, in addition to identifying its type, also indicate its position, e.g. the axle of a truck. USE - Process is intended for mine warfare training and mine clearance under manoeuvre conditions.
